Hi, I'm Justine Coombs or Modern Ceremonies with Justine - an Award-Winning Kent Celebrant specialising in beautiful personal funerals and luxury weddings. Whilst I live in Kent - between Maidstone, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Ashford and Tunbridge Wells, my ceremony locations reach beyond Kent. I have led ceremonies in luxury venues across London, Sussex, Surrey, The Cotswolds, Europe and beyond - creating memorable celebrations of life as well as destination wedding and naming ceremonies.

I really LOVE to perform outdoor weddings in elegant settings.
The ceremony space does not have to be licenced for a celebrant wedding ceremony which means home ceremonies are possible - what a way to create new memories on the family estate! I specialise in luxury outdoor weddings in manor houses and gardens, castles, vineyards and beautiful exclusive venues. I personalise every ceremony - to make the words really meaningful - always ensuring that the ceremony is stunning both to the ear and the eye and it totally bespoke - reflecting beautiful love stories without being slushy! |

As a celebrant at a funeral, celebration of life or memorial, I spend a lot of time getting to know the life stories and loves of the person we are saying goodbye to. I like to create a calm, serene but also an uplifted atmosphere, where the words are carefully researched and crafted for the life we are celebrating. I truly believe a life should be celebrated so there will be laughter as well as tears, as we remember and extol that special person. I love creating ceremonies in beautiful environments or unusual ceremonies - I have led firework ceremonies to scatter ashes, natural burials with very serene rituals, ceremonies in a theatre, castle and in a manor house garden surrounded by butterflies - there are stunning spaces away from crematoria and cemeteries to hold a beautiful ceremony without it being hurried or feeling like a number.
I can also help you to write your own funeral or eulogy - I will make time to get to know all about you and your life and then present your words in a format that can be used when it is the time for your funeral - making life so much easier for your loved ones and creating an accurate representation of your life. |

If you want to have a ceremony much like a Christening, but without the emphasis on religion, this is maybe the ceremony you are after, to welcome a child into your family and friendship group.
Have a stunning, relaxed ceremony in a beautiful garden, hotel venue or restaurant where we welcome the newest member of the family into your community and celebrate them with your nearest and dearest. The process of creating the script is very straightforward for busy professional parents but the result is a gorgeous, warm, relaxed ceremony where we invite trusted friends and family to become Guideparents / Godparents for your child. We can toast the baby during the ceremony and then continue the party with food, drink and plenty of special photos. |

Writing a eulogy can be a tough ask - some people find it really difficult to put memories and emotions into a format that is natural and reads fluidly. I work with my clients over a video call or in person if you are local, to understand your loved one and your relationship with the person whose life you are celebrating, so that I can write the eulogy for you. Your memories will be written in a way that suits your way of speaking and reflects their life and loves.
